Baby Furniture

Daniel and I ordered our nursery furniture this past Saturday. I will be 14 weeks on Wed. so this is early I know but for
1. I hate to procrastinate
2. I would like to have everything pretty much done before my 3rd trimester because my 3rd trimester is going to be a busy time of year
3. because we were just so excited.
We ordered it from JCPenney and I was super proud of my hubby. We had found out that the set we wanted was no longer on sale and was gonna cost us $300 more not counting the shipping. So we were pretty bummed but my wonderful hubby went in and talked them into giving us the sale price AND Free shipping. How awesome is that? So we save $500. Can't beat that. It will be here on Friday but we probably won't be able to pick it up until Monday since Daniel is having his surgery Wed. I am going to take before pictures of the nursery and then progress pics and finished pics.
Daniels surgery is Wed. He still seems to be excited about having it. He just wants an I.V. and to be put to sleep so he can know what it feels like. I don't think he is really thinking about the pain that comes later. But please keep him in your prayers during this time.
I said earlier that my 3rd trimester was gonna be packed full. Well really the end of my second and on. The first week of Sept. I will be out of town. Then my birthday and my brother in laws bday is that month. We will also probably try to fit a shower in that month. October is the worst. Two of my nephews, Daniel, and my mom have birthdays. Plus I will probably try to fit giving my sister in law a baby shower that month. Novemeber is Thanksgiving and when I will start to feel miserable I am sure. Decemeber is my last month. So you see I really have only until the first part of Sep. To get my major stuff done. Plus I have this vision and it is going to take some time to do.
I went maternity clothes shopping today and bought enough clothes to take me through Sept. when the weather changes. That was exhausting. Had fun with my mom though and we went to Storkland and looked around and ate at Red Robin.

Great News! Whew!

So I am back from the doctors visit. Things went really well. I was sooooooooo nervous walking in that my legs were shaking. She found the baby's heartbeat and it was in the 150's. I can't even begin to tell you how relieved we felt. To tell you how nervous I was the nurse said she could feel me shaking and my blood pressure was 150/90! They had to check it again later and it had gone down some so he was not concerned at all with it. We were able to talk with the doctor about alot of things and I was taken off of my progesterone and metformin. So the only thing I take now is my prenatal vitamin. I go back in two weeks to have a glucose test just to see how things are once the metformin gets out of my system. Our next appt. with the doc is on July 14th. I will be one day shy of 17 weeks then. We asked if we could have our gender ultrasound then and he said that we could but that we would have to pay $90 b/c the insurance won't pay for it until 20 weeks. So since 4 weeks from 17 weeks is 21 weeks he is gonna let us come back in 3 weeks that time. So we should know the gender for sure the first part of August.

Also we were told we would not get an ultrasound today but since I had a little bit of pain on the side that my cysts were on he wanted to check on them. So we got to see our sweet baby. We only got 2 pics because technically she was only suppose to be looking at the cysts. The cysts had shrunk even more and are almost gone. Apparently I was feeling them shrink. Anyway here is our precious little one. I think the second one with the arm up looks just like Daniel. Has his nose. The second one is a little crooked with the top cut off.....I'm not great with the scanner.

A Nervous Wreck!

So today is our doctor's appointment. I have never been more scared in my life! I am terrified that we will go in and have the same thing happen as last time. We want so badly to hear the heartbeat right off to calm all of our fears. If we can just get through this appt. I think both of us will calm down alot and hopefully start to enjoy this pregnancy. Our appt. is at 1pm and today has already been the longest day ever. I think I may start crying as soon as we walk into the office, or even pass out! I know poor Daniel is feeling the same way and he is a work until the appt. I don't know how or if he is getting any work done. I just can 't believe how completely scary this is. Isn't pregnancy suppose to be an exciting time? We lost our innocence last time so I guess we will never get to fully enjoy a pregnancy. Please just pray for us today. We need your prayers! Thank you in advance!

Surgery for Daniel!

So Daniel went to an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor this past Friday due to some problems he was having. Turns out he needs his tonsils out. Now for any of you that have had this done as an adult, you know how painful this surgery is. I had it, along with getting my deviated septum fixed, about 3 years ago. Let me just say that it was the most horrible surgery. Now Daniel has never had surgery. He has never even had an I.V. The most he has had are some stitches. This is gonna be a horrible first surgery for him. He is excited about having an I.V. and being put to sleep, I on the other hand am very nervous for him and feel so very bad for him. I know how much pain he will be in. His surgery will be on the 24th of this month. It will be at Jackson's hospital and as of right now they will keep him over night. (They didn't keep me over night, but I ended up back at the ER that night and spent 5 days in the hospital. HORRIBLE TIME!) I don't think he will end up in the hospital as I did since he is able to take the steroids for the swelling whereas I was not due to an allergy. But I don't think he realizes what he is in for. So please keep him in your prayers.

As far as the pregnancy, things seem to be going well. Since last week I have only had 2 days of bad sickness and have actually had a few really great days with my appetite increasing. I am dealing with daily headaches and head congestion but other than that not really anything. I have strange feelings in my lower abdomen alot which I assume is stretching and movement of the uterus. I keep feeling for my uterus since I am told I should be able to feel it above my pelvic bone now but I can't feel it since I have no clue what it feels like. Ha! I go to the doctor this Thursday and we are very nervous. I am the point now where I'm not really sick but I can't feel the baby so I feel pretty normal. I still don't feel like there is a baby in there. This scares me a bit. We are just praying so hard that we will here a heartbeat on Thursday. I will update more then. Hope everyone has a great week!

Emotional Day!

Today has been such a hard day and I know it will continue. I am 11 weeks 6 days today. On January 2, 2009 I was 11 weeks 6 days. At 9am that morning Daniel and I were having our lives changed forever. We were being told that our baby Zachary had stopped growing. At 12pm I was in the hospital awaiting the surgery that would remove Zachary from my body. That was the hardest day of ours lives. I have thought alot about Zachary today. I have shed many tears. It still hurts so much. Being pregnant again doesn't make the pain go away, it just brings happiness into the mix of pain. We will never know what kind of little boy Zachary would have been but we know he was loved, is loved sooooo much. So today has been a very rough day. Please keep us in your prayers. And please keep this little baby I am carrying in your prayers. We are still so scared about the next appt.

quick post!

So I just thought I was starting to feel better. It faked me out! The last few days have been horrendous! I have been nonstop sick. Can hardly eat and when I do I have to concentrate really hard on keeping it down which doesnt always work. I am also having headaches every single day but I haven't had any vision problems since Sunday. I am 11 weeks today so hopefully I don't have too much longer to have sickness. I am so ready for the second trimester!!!!!!!!!!

Oh the Joys.

Sorry for the long delay in posting. I have been sooooo sick and just havent had the energy to post. I will be 11 weeks on Wed. so hopefully it will start to get better soon. Some days are already better than others but most days are just horrid. I have lost a total of 10lbs. so far. But so far pretty much everything else is going pretty well. I am still a nervous wreck to go to my next appt. which is on June 16th because we will only be able to listen to the heartbeat and I am scared to death they will not find one like last time. But we are praying hard about it. God's will be done!
On another note I did have to spend a few hours in the ER last night. Let me start from the beginning. On Friday I was at the hospital all day because my mom was having her gallbladder taken out. After about 5 hours of being there I started to have some wierd visual disturbances. My peripheral vision was completely black and spotty and my regular vision was coming and going with spots and blurryness. This scared me to death but it went away within like 10 min. or so with no other problems. So I didn't think much of it. Well last night after worship it started again. But this time it came with a horrible headache and dizziness. Well after much discussion and reading in my "What to Expect" book that visual problems require immediate attention, I decided to call the on call doctor just to see what he said. His first thought was migraine but since I had never had visual problems with any of my migraines before he wanted me to go to the ER to be checked out just to make sure it wasn't something else. So off we went. We got there a little after 8 and really didnt have to wait all that long. They took my blood pressure and it was fine so it wasn't that. Then they took me back and started to ask all the usual questions. About and hour later we saw the doc. He did all the physical neurological tests and I passed (which I knew i would because by that time I only had the headache with dizziness, no visual problems). He agreed that it was probably a migraine and was just different because of my being pregnant. He then proceeded to say that normally they would do a cat scan but it was up to us since we are pregnant. He said they would drape me but it all depended on my comfort level. I of course said no. He then said that he could give me pain medication but all pain medications are class C drugs, which means that havent been proven safe or not safe in pregnancy. I opted not to have that either because I am not doing anything that could remotely cause problems. I wouldn't even take phenergan this pregnancy because it is Class C also. So he ended up just giving me a large dose of benadryl to help me sleep, which is Class B, meaning proven safe. We left at a little before 10 and I just battled with my headache for the rest of the night. So all in all it was a wasted trip but it gave me a little peace of mind. I will say this though...if it was a migraine I would rather have them like that all of the time! My normal migraines make me not be able to function. I throw up, cry, feel like I am dying, and usually have to go to the ER and have tons of shots to get rid of the pain. I'll take vision problems with a bad headache anyday. They told me to follow up with my doc today so I did and they just said to call if it happens again. Duh!... :) Anyways I am hoping to start updating this blog alot more so check back often.
